If you are curious about getting your company vehicles wrapped but aren’t sure how or where to start, this post is for you! The automotive wrap market is set to reach $4.12 billion by 2022, thanks in part to the overall ease of application and reasonably low cost for design and production when compared with other forms of advertising. No doubt you’ve seen your share of trucks, semi-trailers and vans on the road that look impressive with full or partial wraps that not only catch the eye, but that also help make the company branding and messaging stand out. And with such great advancements in printing technology, it might be time for you to dive into the world of vehicle graphics or your business for your next marketing campaign or promotions.

When considering wraps, there are few things you need to know. Many of these nuances can be made simple by reaching out to your Vernon Graphic Solutions sales representative. Additionally, there are a number of things to familiarize yourself with regarding wraps that will help the process go smoothly.

VEHICLE WRAP SPECS

With so many vehicles on the road today, Vernon uses the latest technology to determine the exact specifications for your wrap, based on the specific make and model of the vehicle(s).

DESIGN

Our expert design team will work with you to create the unique design that meets your branding standards, effectively communicates your messaging and grabs attention for anyone along the roadway. Your overall design may be as simplistic or as complex as you’d like, keeping in mind that when the vehicle is moving, small type or images may be more difficult to see clearly.  Another good strategy is to create an instantly recognizable design that people immediately identify as yours.

GRAPHICS PLACEMENT

It’s important to understand how you want the graphics displayed. Popular placement options include a full wrap, a partial wrap, and vinyl lettering/logo on the vehicle side or rear doors. Our staff will assist you in determining the best placement for your images, tagline, contact information like phone number or website and, of course, your logo. Placement is also determined by the details of the vehicle – for example where there are rivets, door handles and curves of the vehicle. We’ll provide you with an electronic proof of your vehicle design that helps you fully visualize each design area.

INSTALLATION

Through our national installer network, we will locate and contract with a certified graphics installation professional. Ideally, the installer will have a climate-controlled environment to allow for the cleanest application.

POST INSTALLATION

Once your vehicle graphics have been applied, it’s easy to care for your vehicle. It is best to wash your wrapped vehicle by hand with a sponge and mild soapy water. Using any kind of pressurized washer will risk lifting the wrap at the seams. Also, it’s important to remember not to go through automatic car washers, as this can result in damage to your wrap. To keep your wrap looking like new avoid parking under trees or in direct sunlight for long periods of time.

Finally, many of our clients inquire about overall costs and maintenance with vehicle graphics. You might be surprised to learn that graphics are an affordable option and make a perfect complement to your marketing and advertising strategy. Each vehicle or fleet project is unique, therefore we scope out the complete project and provide you with a quote up-front depending on the number of vehicles, vehicle type(s), type of graphic, application costs, and many other factors specific to you.
